A first-person interactive horror game released through Netflix's cloud gaming service in June 2026. The game displays on a television or browser while the player's own smartphone acts as both the controller and the protagonist's in-game phone. You play as Ava, who wakes during a storm that has knocked out the power in her apartment building, using the phone as a flashlight and as your line to her friend Claire and the building super. It was designed to run about the length of a television episode and to be playable by people unfamiliar with conventional game controls. The project was backed by David Fincher and Zach Cregger, with Zoë Kravitz, Sadie Sink, and Troy Baker in the cast.
I was the sole VFX artist on the project, responsible for all real-time effects, shaders, and post-processing. The central constraint was the streaming pipeline: everything had to survive compression and hold up on a television at a distance, while a flashlight served as the primary light source and the primary tool for building dread.
